Turning Security Alerts into Action
COP-R-LOCK already detects theft attempts using smart sensors that monitor equipment and infrastructure for suspicious activity. When a cable is cut, an enclosure is opened, or another trigger sensor detects an incident, operators receive instant alerts and an on-site siren activates to deter thieves.
Now, the Farmblox Security Camera adds visual context to those alerts.
Instead of wondering whether an alarm was triggered by a person, an animal, or maintenance crews, operators can immediately see what's happening.
The result is faster, more informed decisions that reduce unnecessary site visits while helping teams respond more quickly when a real security event occurs.
How the Farmblox Security Camera Works
The Farmblox Security Camera connects directly to the Farmblox Base Station, which provides both power and communications. The base station can be either wired or solar-powered, so there are no batteries to replace or recharge, making it ideal for long-term remote deployments.
During normal operation, the camera captures still images every 15 minutes, creating a visual timeline of the site similar to a traffic camera. Operators can also refresh the latest image through the Farmblox application whenever they want to check conditions.
When a security incident occurs, the camera automatically records video with audio, giving operators a complete picture of what happened. The system is also designed to preserve footage from approximately 30 to 60 seconds before the incident, providing valuable context leading up to the event.
The camera is triggered by the same security events that activate COP-R-LOCK, including motion-distance detection and other security sensors. Future software updates may also introduce AI-powered human and movement detection capabilities.
